A fast paced and growing technology services firm based in Midtown Manhattan is seeking an enthusiastic summer Intern to join our Engineering team.
The Requirements
- Strong technical background; coding should be your personal passion!
- Solid Object Oriented programming skills and education/classes focused in Object Oriented Application Design.
- Experience with the .NET framework, Visual Basic, C#, HTML, JavaScript/CSS. Knowledge of ASP, ASP.NET, and MS SQL Server a plus!
- Extremely strong work ethic: you should have an “above & beyond expectations” mindset.
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) program with a top-tier Engineering college, less than 2 years from graduation.
- Major should be software development focused (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.).
The Experience
- While working at Exigis, you’ll be learning commercial-scale web programming concepts, including Software as a Service, multitier architecture, and Service Oriented Architecture.
- The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment. You’ll work alongside a team of expert programmers, contributing to both core & application-level components of the EXIGIS RISKworks™ platform.
- Guidance from senior members of the Engineering staff is expected, but Interns should be able to work independently.
- As well as coding, you’ll have opportunities to assist with: requirements gathering, writing technical specification, white-box & black-box testing, and tool evaluations.
